A true classic, our double sided satin ribbon features unmatched width and color selection, a high quality, glossy finish on both sides of the ribbon, and is available for ordering in multiple put-ups, including by-the-yard. Choose from over a 115+ solid colors and 10 widths ranging from 1/8" all the way to 4" wide.

Ordering satin ribbon by the yard allows you to purchase continuous rolls of your desired color and width in one-yard increments. You can even order a single yard for a convenient way to get samples shipped same-day using a shipping method of your choice, everything up to Next Day Air.

Made from 100% polyester, this double-faced satin ribbon is machine washable, is color-fast, and has less than 2% shrinkage. And if you're looking for a set of samples of a family of colors, you may consider purchasing a hang set of our double faced satin ribbons.

As a bit of background, there are three basic types of textile weaves: satin (single faced or double faced), taffeta, and twill. And to produce these fabrics or ribbons, there are also four basic types of yarn used, namely polyester, nylon, cotton or acetate. Our double face satin ribbon is made from polyester yarn and the satin weave and so is known as 'polyester satin'.

Sizes Note: All sizes except 1/8" are measured in millimeters and listed in their approximate size in inches. Please refer to the table below for details. Sizes wider than 7/8" are too wide for a discrepancy to be reliably determined between inches and millimeters.

Colors Note: Dye lot differences are especially apparent between 50 and 100 yard spools for all available sizes (i.e. 1/8" 100 yard Silver may not match with 5/8" 50 yard Silver).

  • The dye lot and quality may vary between the 100 yard spools and everything else.
  • With sizes up to 4" wide, these work wonders as blanket binding. Please keep in mind however that these are spools of unfolded ribbon, so you would have to fold and crease yourself.

I would give this 10 stars if I could. I want to put this red ribbon on a white dress. I pre-washed a couple yards of this (on warm) with a piece of white fabric and it was completely colorfast and came out beautifully. Very happy!
